Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do!

Written by Swarnim

O Boy! You are already feeling a bit uneasy after reading this and you think that it can be one of the reasons you should not further read it?
Do you really think?

Well these four words of doom are something we all have witnessed in a particular space time continuum of our lives. They triggered sudden rush of helplessness, reminded you of a song which brings no hope, perhaps killed our creative imagination as well. So you want to ask me now. So What? Everyone goes through the pain they owe to their life, it could be a soul crushing breakup of a serious relationship, gloomy peer pressure, cash crunch or a recurring health problem! O greater lord of spectre, how can I forget the problem of employmentally challenged people? (Pun intended)

Your problem could be any of these, if not the sum of all. So what’s next? Why are you even reading this? I bet you are, because deep down within, you want to live a happy life. You want to not just survive, rather thrive. So take a moment out of your life right now and ask yourself, who are you? Why are you here? What is the meaning to your existence and which place you belong to? What do you feel? How much time it has been since you looked at your old diary in which you wrote lyrics for someone special? When was the last time you ran to actually enjoy it? When was the last time your heart felt the warmth of another heart? When was the last time you sweated to actually finish a target in the best way? When was the last time you won not for the people but yourself? A year ago, the answers to all these questions for me were dipped in the ink of pain. Anomie got the better of me, alienation took me on a ride. I felt nothing is going right, I was chocked to speak up anything at all. Once! The rock bottom for me was on its horizon, a perpetual one!

Then I came across a magic! Yes for me it is a magic! This wonderful book gave me hope, it became a friend to me when I had none. It spoke with me with affection, love and care. Surely it was a one sided love in me towards this beautiful book, but it gave me more than I asked for. It gave me hope, strength, wisdom and the will of fire. Each day in my low moments I used to read this, I gained positivity. It teaches you how to respond to a particular situation, no matter how tough it is and to get the better of the difficult times. It draws it’s vitality form FAITH. Yes FAITH! That’s what I mean. So you will say now, its all crap and that is reflected by your personal experiences. Why should you believe me?? For that you should read it yourself to feel it’s magic. Each word in this book is of gold. This can be the best ₹ 180 you can ever invest in your whole life. Right now if you are treading along a path that takes you nowhere, take my words try this out. It might make a difference in your life, as it did to me. I will conclude this write up with one of its poem which is close to my heart.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;

And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

‘No matter what life throws at you’
‘Hallelujah anyways’
